In this exercise, we practise passive recognition and active description of spatial relationships such as top, bottom, in front of, behind, between, next to, just behind, just in front of, between, in the middle, first, last and also right, left, top right, bottom left to one's person, relative to the other person and so on.


Why is this exercise important?
Passive understanding of spatial relationships and active accurate use of these concepts is important not only in natural everyday situations but also in the future in orientation in number series and geometry. 


Who is the exercise suitable for?

Mainly for preschoolers and kids in early school days. It helps with developing logical ideas and language skills.

Methodological recommendations
Either read aloud the instructions to the child, play them from the app or let the child read them by themselves.
The child must understand the instruction, and realise which "words" are important to him/her. Practice being aware of the relative position of objects and their location.

Tips for similar activities outside the app
This type of task can be practised in everyday situations, for example when we ask the child to help us: Take the blue towel and hang it on the top left hook. That's 3 instructions in one sentence. We can start with just one instruction and gradually increase the number of instructions. This way the child also trains the speech memory.

Legos or books with stick-on pictures are also great. Example: put the pirate on the front of the ship. Put a treasure chest right behind him. Put the castaway next to the palm tree on the left, and so on.
