Tips on how to use this exercise at home and at school.
Early maths concepts
In this exercise, the child is already counting objects, expressing numbers or quantities and comparing.
Why is this exercise important?
The child already understands the principle of comparison qualitatively (thanks to exercise 121 Comparing groups of 0-5 more than, fewer than, equal to).
However, it is now necessary to include numerical (quantitative) expressions in the comparison. Thus, the child works with both quantities and numbers, which he compares passively with each other.
Who is the exercise suitable for?
It mainly belongs in primary school as an early activity. In addition to number concepts and rational assumptions, language skills with numbers are developed at the same time.
Methodological recommendations
Either read aloud the instructions, play them from the app or let the child read them by themselves.
In this exercise, 2 groups of pictures are shown, and the child works according to the instructions: they count the objects in the first group and write them down by number, then they count the objects in the second group and write them down as well. Then compares the objects and numbers and chooses the correct symbol: the same, more or less.
In the settings, we can select the number range 0-5, 0-10 and possibly show a hint for the symbols = < > and also the same images.
Tips for similar activities outside the app
Next, we can compare using dice. You and the child roll the dice and compare: Who got the same amount, more or less points?

Now, we are naming situations with numbers.
